Samsung Galaxy Note Wi-Fi 16GB Carbon Blue

The Samsung Galaxy Note is a hybrid device, between a tablet and a Smartphone, somewhat similar to the ViewSonic ViewPad 4. Directed towards an audience seeking the comfort of a bigger screen but who do not necessarily want to invest in a tablet.

One could say that the Samsung Galaxy Note is a larger version of the Samsung Galaxy SII (the Note has a 5.3-inch screen) since its height and width dimensions (146,85 x 82,95 x 9,65 mm) do not exceed those of the Samsung Galaxy S II by more than 2 centimeters.

The Galaxy Note “tabphone” also comes with a stylus pen called the S Pen, which allows you to capture different screen shots and add or take notes. This is a similar feature to the one offered on the HTC Flyer.

As far as technical specifications go, the Galaxy Note is just as impressive as the Samsung Galaxy SII. It features a spectacular 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, HSPA + LTE (4G) connectivity, and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also sports two cameras, an 8MP in the back and a 2 MP in the front, as well as an A-GPS chip, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/, and optional NFC.

Available in two versions: 16 and 32GB, it also has a microSD slot that allows you to expand storage up to 32GB.

It is possible that Samsung designed the Galaxy Note to target a more specific business oriented clientele, who often needs to look up information quickly but do not want an addition of a tablet to their Smartphone.
